Serenity (Wren) Henderson

(She/Her/They/Them)

Hey there! I’m Serenity, but you can always call me Wren. I’m a non-binary Artist who, until recently, attended The University of The Arts in Philidelphia as an Illustration Major before its sudden closure on June 7th. Now, I’m preparing to spend my Senior Year at Moore’s College of Art and Design.

I was born and raised in Smyrna, Delaware, and spent most of my childhood working with Animals. I worked under licensed rehabilitators of the state and was an apprentice to one for approximately 8 years. I know my way around working with animals, as well as how to treat basic veterinary concerns. I’m good with my hands, and don’t mind getting dirty!

Alongside animals, I studied Electronics at POLYTECH High School in Woodside Delaware, graduating with a Certification in Hardware.

Regardless, my true passion lies in art and storytelling. I enjoy creating complicated narratives and drawing inspiration from old European folklore, fairytales, and high-fantasy media. Some of my biggest inspirations have been the works of The Brothers Grimm and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. I also draw inspiration from animated shows such as The Owl House, Gravity Falls, Hilde, Adventure Time, and Fiona and Cake.

My long-term goal is to eventually gain the chance to work on story production for an original animated series or illustrated comic. For now, I’m working on expanding my branding as an Artist and Storyteller.
